No doubt you will have heard a lot about flossing in the news of late. It’s great it’s in the news, but unfortunately for the wrong reasons. Basically, it has been discovered that the benefits of flossing have never actually been scientifically researched. However, it is still recommended by us, your dentists.
It is true that people who floss have healthier gums. Flossing helps get rid of gunk and bacterial build-ups that could cause problems later; and also helps to clean the parts of the tooth that your toothbrush has trouble reaching.
